The current water main, laid in 1956, has reached the end of its serviceable life. Replacing it now will prevent unplanned leaks and bursts, ensuring a reliable water supply.

The works will be commencing in late March 2026. Works are expected to be completed in late May 2026. We will strive to complete the works as quickly as possible while ensuring works are carried out to a high standard.

There may be intermittent closure of the footpath during the works due to maintaining a safe working area and use of required machinery.

We will endeavour to minimise the likelihood of damage to nature strip sprinkler systems; however, rest assured any damage to pipes and fittings will be rectified as a part of our works.

There may be short interruptions in water supply during disinfection of the new main and tapping of feed lines to premises. These disruptions should not exceed 30 minutes in each occurrence. Customers will be notified prior to any planned interruptions.

While we aim for timely completion, unforeseen issues or weather events may cause delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding in such situations.
